It's usually cleaner to make pkg-config check all the libraries in the
same macro though.

What version of sigc++-2.0? I know it work on 2.0.6, but debian usually
isn't on the newest version so it might be a version where just including
<sigc++/connection.h> might not work. Try making a small test program that
just includes that file. Except for that, dunno really atm.
