[Libtorrent-devel] rtorrent hash failures on ecryptfs overlay mounts

Hi,

in order to secure the files on my portable device in a more flexible
manner, I switched from encrypted block devices to [1]ecryptfs, which uses
overlay-mounts and hence does the data encryption on a per-file basis.

Unfortunately, the hash check performed after a finished rtorrent
download fails if the downloaded file resides somewhere below an
ecryptfs mount-point. The hash check does not invalidate the whole file
but at least about 30% of it.

I tried to set `safe_sync' even though I use ext3/2.6.24-rc6 but it did
not work. Maybe the problem has something to do with ecryptfs' inability
to deal with [2]sparse files?

All hints are welcome.

TIA,

Petar
